About Us

More than a Minecraft server — J's Hideout is a growing community for gamers of all kinds. Here's who we are, where we started, and where we're headed.

Who We Are

J's Hideout started life as a Discord server around 2020 — before there was any game attached to it at all. Its founder, J, had been a verified streamer on Omlet Arcade, hosting mini tournaments in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Roblox Parkour, and Minecraft Parkour & Building, and the Discord grew out of that community.

The name comes from Albion Online, where guilds keep "Hideouts" — bases where they secure resources and regroup before heading back out. J's Hideout is the same idea, just for people instead of loot: a place where people who love games can hang out, make friends, and feel like they belong.

We're a community first and a game server second. The games are the excuse to get together; the people are the reason to stay.

Where It Started: J's Hideout SMP

The SMP launched on November 9, 2024, and it didn't start out peaceful — it opened as a full PvP, full-loot server. Stealing, raiding, and burning down other players' builds were all fair game, and more than a few early players did nothing but torch every chest they could find. Over the months that followed, structure got layered on: Team Safe Zones and a dedicated PvP Arena in December 2024, then a skill and class progression system that turned it into something closer to semi-RPG PvP through early 2025.

By August 2025, enough of the community had settled into building and playing together that we made it official: J's Hideout became a Peace SMP. PvP didn't disappear — it moved to an opt-in Anarchy Zone, now its own Wasteland domain, while a large Safe Zone protects everyone else's builds. That split, safe by default with PvP if you want it, is still the model today.

Most of this website is dedicated to the SMP. It's the hub for everything around the Minecraft server — rules, ranks, commands, live player stats, leaderboards, events, and updates. If Minecraft is your thing, you'll find a full home for it here.

Skills and classes turn it into semi-RPG PvP, with progression alongside the fighting.

Nov 2025

A multi-domain proxy setup launches — Genesis, Exodus, and Wasteland — to handle a growing playerbase.

www.jshideout.com goes live.

2026

The website takes over most in-game systems — leaderboards, ranks, teams, skins — and the server moves onto its own domain, play.jshideout.com.

Where We're Headed

We're not stopping at Minecraft. J's Hideout already runs Forsaken Ego, our own guild in Albion Online, and EGO, our guild in Ragnarök: The New World — and we're working on bringing both onto this site the same way we did for the SMP, with rosters and activity of their own. Hytale and Palworld are next on the list as those games mature.

The goal is simple: whatever's happening inside the J's Hideout Discord, there should be a corner of this site for it — with the same welcoming community behind every door.

A Place for Everyone

Communities are about people, not just the games they play. Whether you're here to compete, build, chat, or simply find others who enjoy what you enjoy, there's a spot for you at J's Hideout.

Come as you are — and find your people.

Come Hang Out

The best way to get a feel for J's Hideout is to drop into our Discord. Say hi, ask questions, jump into a game — everyone's welcome.
